:For The Beauty Of The Earth:

For the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies.
For the love which from our birth, over and around us lies. Lord of all to Thee we raise, this our hymn of grateful praise.
-Folliott S. Pierpoint

I fell in love with that hymn as a little girl. My old piano teacher gave it to me to learn and play. Of course it was the kid version. But as soon as I learned it, the words stuck with me. And I've loved it since.
I've seen so much beauty. Morning dew, park trails with family, pear picking with friends, watching the clouds in the blue sky. God's given us such as amazing place to live (for now). And He deserves to be praise for that. He made us, send His son for us, loved us.

I think sometimes we get caught up in our lives, our problems. So much so that we forget about God. We go day to day without talking to Him, or reading His word, or praising Him. It's sad how I'm too worried with me that I push God off.
God never stops loving me, so why should I stop praising Him?

  1. Beautiful photos matched with beautiful words. The thing is, if God meant for our journey to be completely easy here on earth, the road wouldn't be so narrow. We were created to worship God, but we have also been given the choice to - and sometimes ourselves make that choice hard to make.

  2. I LOVE this post. The song reminds me of the scene in Little Women when that song is sung. I enjoy reading hymns sometimes so that the words really stick out to me, rather than the melody. This is a beautiful post.

I just found your blog and am a new follower!

    Blessings!
