::Run'n Into Summer:: Part Two

Monday, June 11th, 2012
"I love you. Love you!" My grandma says to my grandpa after a quick kiss. "Love you too!" He answers. In my mind I'm smiling at this. Happy that my grandparents still love each other. 40 some years I think. They've got a beautiful life, family, and of course grandkids. My grandma backs out of their driveway. Smokey, their gray girl cat, climbs up to the front seat. Paige (my little sister) talks to Harley, the boy cat, in the back seat. :)
So there I was. Happy. In my favorite summer dress. Little bit of make-up on. My new flip-flops on my feet. What can I say. I was one happy lassie.

Smokey in grandma lap

Getting my nails done. I have never done this before. And there's a fancy word for it, but I don't know how to spell it. I'm a horrid speller. But the nail thing was amazing.

Downtown South Bend Indiana. My Aunt works at a theater there. They have plays and stuff. Pretty awesome.

My second cousin trimmed our hair. She owns her own hair salon. :)

Up in Michigan. We walked along the beach. The water didn't feel that bad. But we didn't swim. :)

We went to eat at a Chinese place. It was sooooo good. :)

Let me just say. Their tea was to die for.

A fork. Duh.

A flower. Taken at the nursing home where my great-grandpa used to live. There's a tree planted there for him. And a brick with his name on it. :)

I'm in love with my own photo. Taken in a greenhouse.

A little bridge in this beautiful, wonderful, huge greenhouse.

My Aunt and my grandma. Aunt on the left.

We walked around a beautiful river park thingy. Gorgeous there.

My great-grandparent's grave. I never got to meet them.

For those who used to be here

::Run'n Into Summer::

Wow. I've had the busiest summer of my life so far.
I just got back from a trip up to northern Indiana and Michigan with my grandma and great aunt.
But my story starts a week before that. :)

Monday, June 4th, 2012

It's in the morning. I'm in the car rocking out to Toby Mac's latest CD. I'm with my family. Not all my family of course. My dad's at work and Ben's with us. Oh, yeah, Ben's a friend. He slept over the night before.
I'm singing along with Mac and we're driving down a country road. Got my mug of orange juice in hand. (Orange juice is my new addiction.)
We pull into a gas station and my mom goes in to get a tea. Not a surprise..........................
Then Ben's mom, Mrs. Eaks, pulls up. Then Jordan, Ben's oldest sister and a close friend of mine, pulls in.
I give up shot gun, grab my stuff and go over to Jo. And I ride with them to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
Mrs. Eaks leads the way (more or less) followed by my mom then Jo. Leah, Jordan, and I are laughing and telling random stories. :)
Oh my gosh! I forgot LEAH! Yes, my sweet and very first BFF. I loves her so much. More than the world does she mean to me. <3
We do get to the museum but not without getting lost (well the mom's were, Jo and we were fine.) And going in a big circle.
Pictures below.

Okay. So that's the first part of this post. The second part will be 'bout my northern Indiana trip with my sis, grandma, and great aunt. :)

The BumbleBee It talked. Well not really.......

In the elevator. Only us. So this is totally the Eaks and Morans together. Jordan's the one holding her camera high up. Leah's the one with her camera pointed at me. Emmy is the girl with the hat. And my little sis Paige is behind Emmy. This is my fav of all the photos I took.

Looking out over the

The amazing glass thingy. Yeah, I know I called it a "thingy". Ignore me.

The Water Works...................Jordan, Leah, and I build some boats and tried to get some pictures of them sailing.

Me and Lee. In the mirror maze. Probably my favorite part of the trip. Leah and I were in love with it.

Us again. Check out my diva pose.........

A little violin on a little piano................Cute right?

::This Girl::

This girl is strong and weak.
She's tough and soft.
She's loving but honest.

This girl is a kid and a woman.
She's so fun and so wise.

She smiles and cries.

This girl struggles and rests.
She wins and loses. Like all of us.

She gives up and stands up.

Hey Adrienne.

My so-oh-beautiful, oh-so-amazing. Oh I wish she could see it. I'll make her believe it. One day.

V.M

Dear Adrienne,
You've meant so much to me. You mean so much to me. You believe in me even when I don't.
You haven't given up on me. You tell me to keep fighting. You've shown me that life's not about me or what I do. It's about God and following him.
I love you.
